Dr. Jhamak Prasad Sharma, hailing from Chainpur Municipality Ward No. 7, Phalante, Sankhuwasabha District and presently residing at Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur District is Ph.D. in law, Masters in Law, Sociology, Public Administration and Nepali along with B.Ed. in English. Before the Government of Nepal appointed him to the post of Member of this Commission on June 24, 2024, Dr. Sharma, as a free-lancer, was involved as Advocate and Notary Public (Translator) after his retirement from Civil Service. He was retired from the post of Joint Secretary of Judicial Service by gaining his 34 years of experience of Civil Service in total including 11 years as Section Officer (Office In-charge) of Administration Service, 14 years as Under Secretary of Judicial Service and 9 years as Joint Secretary of Judicial Service with his involvement in Different Ministries and Commissions. Formerly he had also gained the experiences in the capacity of Accountant of Agricultural Development Bank for 4 years and Govt. Teacher for 5 years. He has secured more than two dozens of service related formal trainings on administration, management and legal drafting both in the homeland and abroad.

A good number of his articles on administration and law are published in different journals. 7 books written by him are already published namely, Nepali-English Proverbs Dictionary, Collection of Proverbial Folk Stories, Greater Omnium Gatherum of Nepali Proverbs, Devkota's Epic Munamadan (Translation into English with corresponding Jhyaure metre), Wu Ranpao (Translated the bibliography of famous farmer leader of China), Hotel and Dining Hall Spoken English (Nepali translation of tri-lingual book namely Chinese, English and Nepali), Blouse of Assamese Silk (Social Stories). He has visited most of the districts of Nepal, and made foreign visit of India, Bhutan, China (Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau), Japan, Pakistan, Philippines, Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, Ethiopia, Laos etc. At present he is active in the capacity of Member (Law) of this Commission.
